Important Information About Previous Payroll Deduct Program
As a result of the sale of Steward hospitals, the payroll deduction program previously offered for personal insurance policies with RogersGray (Auto, Home, Renters, Umbrella, etc.) is being discontinued. We will be transitioning existing payroll deduct policies to direct billing, meaning the policyholder will be responsible for paying premiums directly to the insurance carrier.
What to Expect:
- Effective Date: Existing payroll deduct policies with RogersGray will move from payroll deduction to direct billing effective October 1, 2024. Payroll-deducted premiums collected from the policyholder’s last paycheck issued by Steward will be applied to the new direct bill policy balance.
- Policy Transition: Depending on each carrier’s process, the existing policy number may or may not change. If there is a change to the policy number, the policyholder will receive new policy documents from the carrier reflecting this detail. In either case, there will be no lapse in coverage during the transition.
- Payment Options: Once moved to direct billing, the policyholder will be able to choose from multiple payment options. Most carriers offer monthly Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), which is similar to payroll deduction and allows the policyholder to spread payments over several months. To select a preferred payment method, the policyholder will need to create an online account through the carrier website or speak directly with their customer service team.
- No Immediate Action Needed: Until the current policy is moved to direct billing, the payroll deduction will continue as usual. RogersGray will manage this transition, ensuring that the process is as smooth as possible.
As existing policies transition to direct billing, policyholders may receive additional email communications directly from the carrier. Please be sure to use a valid email address if opting into electronic communications and be sure to check your Spam folder for any important messages.
